Energy (DNEN, DOEN, ZAEN, CEEN)
With its decree of March 19, Ukrainian Government has inscribed 60%+1 shares of Dniproenergo, Donbasenergo, Zakhidenergo and Centerenergo on the list of companies subjected to privatizing in 2008 and has entrusted to pass them to The State Property Fund of Ukraine.
At the present time National Energy Company of Ukraine founded in 2004 owns 85.77% stake in Donbasenergo, 78.29% – in Centerenergo, 76.04% – in Dniproenergo and 70.1% – in Zakhidenergo.

In 2007 Zakhidenergo decreased its net profit by $2.7 mn YoY – to $1.7 mn. Total assets increased by 1.3% - to $525.5 mn, fixed assets by 7.5% – to $272 mn.

Zakhidenergo (PFTS: ZAEN) plans for 2008
In 2008 Zakhidenergo plans to increase the output of electric energy by 3.3% YoY – to 15.649 bln kWt-h. According to Mr. Omelanovsky, the general manager of Zakhidenergo, in 2007 the company decreased the output of electric energy by 2.5% YoY – to 15.145 bln kWt-h. Per his words in 2007 Zakhidenergo decreased the consumption of gas 2.4 times YoY – to 210.6 mn cubic meters; in 2008 the company intends to decrease the consumption of gas to 110 mn cubic meters. Zakhidenergo (PFTS: ZAEN) Bonds issue was postponed
Zakhidenergo postponed its first bonds issue for $50 mn till December. It was expected “A” bonds to be placed from October 1, 2007 till October 30, 2007 and “B” bonds from April 1, 2008 till April 29, 2008 .
The obtained funds were supposed to be used for financing the project on Burshtyn thermal power plant generating units reconstruction and to boost export potential of Burshtyn thermal power plant to 650 MW till June 2008.
